Nutrition finally started to make sense when I stopped trying to follow everyone else’s rules.
If you’ve ever felt confused about what to eat, frustrated by digestive issues, or stuck in a cycle of trying different diets that promise results but never seem to work, I understand exactly how that feels.
Because I’ve been there.
Before studying nutrition and becoming a dietetic intern, I spent years struggling with digestive issues, bloating, low energy, and feeling uncomfortable in my body. I went from doctor to specialist hoping someone could explain what was going on.
I ran tests.
I tried different recommendations.
I left appointments with more questions than answers.
Everything kept coming back “normal”… but I didn’t feel normal.
It was frustrating, confusing, and honestly exhausting.
My second wake up call: the macro program
Like a lot of people in college, I also thought the secret to my “dream body” was hidden inside a macro program.
So I joined a gym, received a meal plan, and waited for the “magical transformation.”
Instead of this “transformation” I got headaches and no real results.
The calories were incredibly low, the structure was extremely rigid, and every meal felt like a math problem instead of fuel.
Suddenly everything revolved around tracking, restricting, and hitting numbers that weren't realistic.
Sure, it promised results, but it also made me realize something important:
Health should not be stressful.
Food should not feel like a constant calculation.
And long term wellness should never rely on extreme restriction.
Thats why I created Losowell
Losowell was built on the belief that nutrition should be simple, personalized, and evidence based.
